Acacia Training and Development Ltd (ATD) offers a comprehensive service for businesses and individual employees, and is recognised as one of the largest non-college based training organisations in the South West. ATD employs over 150 staff operating from training centres in Taunton, Heathfield and Plymouth. We also have an office in Roche in Cornwall and we are about to set up operations in the Basingstoke area.
In the area of workforce development, our services range from apprenticeship programmes for young people through to individually tailored courses for senior management. In all of our programmes, our commitment to delivering high quality training is paramount. We have built our reputation on the quality of our service, supported by our Investors In People and Matrix accreditations and our latest Ofsted Grade 2 GOOD inspection report. Acacia Training & Development Ltd was the first provider in the SW Region to be formally 'Recognised' by the National Skills Academy for Care.
We are experts in accessing government funding to help local employers to maximise the results from any investment in training and development for their staff. We have a large contract from the Skills Funding Agency and can allocate funding to contribute to or fully cover the cost of training. We provide learning programmes to a wide range of customers from unemployed job seekers, young people starting their career ladder in their first apprenticeship to senior management seeking to gain higher skills qualifications at level 5 or above.
Our qualifications are offered across a wide range of vocational areas including: Health & Social Care, Children & Young People’s Workforce, Hairdressing/Barbering, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Customer Service, Payroll Administration, Marketing, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and Dental Nursing.
High quality Business Management, Statutory and Health & Social Care training (short courses) are available at all three of our well equipped training centres and at other locations. ATD is able to facilitate training on employer premises across the South West and beyond. Our courses Business Manager can also provide bespoke training courses designed to meet the needs of individual business requirements.
We have established effective partnerships working with many other training organisations in order to increase the scope and depth of our training offer to include a range of high quality e-learning and distance learning options. We also support many local employers who wish to access government funding to support their own delivery of QCF diplomas and apprenticeships and other small training providers that are unable to establish their own contract for funding due to limitation of size.
