Acacia Training and Development Ltd is proud to be part of the Somerset Care Group, which is one of the largest not-for-profit care companies in the South of England.
Acacia Training and Development Ltd offers a comprehensive service for businesses and individual employees, and is recognised as one of the largest non-college based training organisations in the South West. ATD employs over 150 staff operating from training centres in Taunton, Heathfield and Plymouth. Our newest base was set up in 2010 in Roche, Cornwall.
From vocational programmes for young people, to individually tailored courses for senior management, our commitment to delivering high quality training is paramount. We have built our reputation on the quality of our service, supported by our Investors In People and Matrix accreditations and our latest Ofsted Grade 2 GOOD inspection report. Acacia Training & Development Ltd was the first provider in the SW Region to be formally 'Recognised' by the National Skills Academy for Care.
Government funded apprenticeships for all ages, and QCF Certificates and Diplomas (previously known as NVQs at Level 2 and 3), are offered from each of our sites covering Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Dorset. Qualifications are offered across a wide range of vocational areas including: Health & Social Care, Children & Young People’s Workforce, Hairdressing/Barbering, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Customer Service, Payroll Administration, Sales and Dental Nursing.
High quality Business Management, Statutory and Health & Social Care training (short courses) are available at all three of our well equipped training centres and at other locations. ATD are able to facilitate training on employer premises across the South West and beyond, on request. Our courses Business Manager can also provide bespoke training courses designed to meet the needs of individual business requirements.
