Grow Somerset Talent Awards 2017 – Our finalist Emileigh Gee

Celebrating traineeships and apprenticeships in Somerset

Grow Somerset Talent is a joint organisation of Colleges and Training providers in Somerset awarding apprentices, trainees and employers.
This campaign is aimed mostly for the 16-24-year-old career seekers, thus providing opportunity where it is needed most.
The overriding theme however, will always be about getting the right person in the right employment, regardless of age or ability. The organisation runs the Grow Somerset Talent Awards each year for individuals and businesses involved in Apprenticeships & Traineeships.

This year’s awards ceremony took place in the Holiday Inn in Taunton on the 10th March and awarded also one of Acacia’s trainee, Emileigh Gee.

Emileigh is responsible for delivering excellent customer service skills in her job role at Go Outdoors. The company has a robust on-line induction so Emileigh’s  I.T. skills along with her Customer service soft skills are being used to the full. “I was offered a paid position as a Retail Assistant at Go Outdoors in Taunton. I now help customers look for the right sort of outdoor equipment and clothing to buy that is best suited to them.” says Emileigh.

Emileigh has gained confidence in working together with other team members and her upbeat attitude, determination and excellent time keeping,  has helped her develop in her job role. A real trailblazer!
