Employer: Broadly Speaking
Qualification: Marketing Level 2 Apprenticeship
Brooke Pinkney started to work at Broadley Speaking in Tavistock in August 2013. She is now working towards her Advanced Apprenticeship in Marketing after completing her Level 2 Marketing apprenticeship last year with Acacia Training and Development.
Brooke said that through the apprenticeship training, she could develop her digital Marketing skills which she needs in her role as a Business Development Manager. She loves the flexibility of the course. She is also able to work full time at the New Business Development agency Broadley Speaking. Her trainer, Jeremy Wills, is very supportive and comes to the workplace for the training.
Brooke says: “The apprenticeship was a fantastic way to be introduced to a business environment and a great alternative to University. I could learn and develop my skills and the course is so relevant to the job. I constantly want to improve my skills and look to expand my role to take on a leadership position at Broadley Speaking.”
Jeremy Wills, her trainer nominated Brooke for the Acacia Training ‘Learner of the Month’ Award and said: “Brooke has used her own initiative to research and use the resources at her workplace to produce some excellent work that is always presented in a most professional and appropriate manner. She has recently been appointed to create presentations to clients and has tackled this with the same verve and enthusiasm. Brooke is a shining example of how this scheme can give a young person a great career.”
David Conn, Director at Broadley Speaking says: “Brooke is extremely enthusiastic and became a valued member of our sales team. She has embraced the apprenticeship scheme in a way that has accelerated her progress within the business. Brooke is a valued member of the team and we are happy to support her developing her role.” If you want to know more about our available Marketing qualifications, please click here.
