Emma Marker receives Certificate of Achievement from the Adult Learners’ Week Awards
Learner: Emma Marker
Employer: The Co-Operative
Emma Marker is a great example of someone with a “go get it” attitude. She has started with the employability courses at Acacia Training and Development which helps learners to gain the skills for getting into employment. Emma was quiet to start with, but as the week progressed she took a more active role within team building and time management tasks. She showed a real interest in developing herself . Following the completion of the first course, Emma applied to complete her Level 2 Functional Skills English. She felt relaxed with the tutors at Acacia and therefore more confident in her ability to achieve the Level 2. Emma was very nervous when she started the course, but soon built self-esteem and was successful.
