We offer Childcare apprenticeships in Cornwall, Plymouth, Exeter, Devon, Taunton and Somerset. You can choose between level 2 and 3 including different pathways. Please click on the course you like and fill in the form on the left-hand side.

Children and Young People’s Workforce Certificate Level 2 – Apprenticeship

Duration – You achieve this qualification in approximately 13 months
Qualification – QCF Certificate in Children and Young People’s Workforce
Cost – The Skills Funding Agency requires Acacia Training to choose Apprenticeship funding over any other form of funding where there is a choice. The Apprenticeship is now available for all ages (subject to eligibility) and is made up of a framework of the QCF Certificate, Functional Skills, and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.

The QCF Certificate is also available commercially to those who are not eligible for funding at a price of £1100 + VAT.

Children and Young People’s Workforce Level 3 – Advanced Apprenticeship

Overview: This framework is to develop knowledge and skills relating to the Children & Young People’s Workforce. Supporting Teaching Level 2 – Intermediate Apprenticeship

Duration – This Apprenticeship will last 13 months and you can start at any time of the year.
Qualification – Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
Cost – Where we may be unable to access funding for the individual or business we will discuss with you any available payment options.

Supporting Teaching Level 3 – Advanced Apprenticeship (or stand alone Diploma)

Duration – This Level 3 Diploma will last 18 months and the learner can start at any time of the year.
Outcomes – There will be increasing opportunities for apprentices to take on a wider range of responsibilities. Opportunities also exist to move into other roles across the wider children’s workforce eg, child care, play work or youth work. Dependant on the specialist optional units taken, a range of specialist roles may be open to the apprentice.
Cost – Where we may be unable to access funding for the individual or business we will discuss with you, payment options available, to include government-backed students loans for level 3 training for the over 24’s.

The max. learner loan amount set by Government: £2225.
