funding

Our Apprenticeship programmes are completely free of charge to learners under 19 years of age. Our Work Based Learning funding offers free training to cover the first full level 2 qualification (subject to eligibility) for those aged under 24 years.

We offer free Information, Advice and Guidance sessions to all prospective learners. We can help you to find the training that suits your needs either with Acacia Training and Development Ltd or with other local Training Providers. ATD works closely with the National Apprenticeship Service to ensure that you are effectively guided into the right training programmes to suit you.

There are eligibility rules for all types of funding and these can change from time to time, so if you want to know if you can access funding for your qualification, contact your nearest ATD centre for more information.

Some full level 2 qualifications are available fully supported by the government, others are partially supported. This will depend on existing qualifications, age, employment status and the size of the organisation that employs you. We can guide you through the eligibility checks with no fuss at all.

Are you over 24 years old? No problem.

Learner loans help learners aged 24 and over, studying at Level 3 and Level 4, to pay the fees charged by approved training organisations in England.

It’s easy to apply, household income isn’t taken into account and there’s no credit check. You won’t have to pay anything back until their income is over £21,000 a year. Once you earn over this amount you pay back 9% of the earnings you receive above this figure.

Also available is a 24+ Advanced Learning Loans Bursary Fund which can help you if any support is needed, for example if the learner needs help with learning, or help with childcare or residential costs.

Learners should apply as early as possible, and can change details of their application later if they need to.
