Funding
Acacia Training & Development Ltd has funding to deliver training in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. This year our funding contracts are bigger than ever meaning that even more employed people and volunteers can be offered NVQ and Apprenticeship training either completely free of charge or supported by funding from the Learning & Skills Council (LSC). We have plans to offer our services in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight soon too!
Our Apprenticeship programmes are completely free of charge to learners under 19 years of age. Our Train to Gain funding offers completely free training for the first NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent).
Acacia Training & Development Ltd offers free Information, Advice and Guidance sessions to all prospective learners. We can help you to find the training that suits your needs either with Acacia or with other local training providers. We work very closely with Nextstep for adult advice and guidance as well as Connexions offices for the under 19s. Acacia Training also works closely with the Skills Brokerage service to ensure that you are effectively guided into the right training programmes for you and your employer.
There are eligibility rules for all types of funding and these can change from time to time, so if you want to know if you can access funding for your NVQ, Apprenticeship or Adult Literacy/Numeracy qualifications, then contact your nearest Acacia Training centre for more information.
Many level 2 or 3 NVQs are available fully supported by the LSC, others are partially supported. This will depend on your existing qualifications, age and employment status. We can guide you through the eligibility checks with no fuss at all.
Acacia Training also has funding to fully support NVQ training for people who are working as volunteers. Eligibility rules apply, but we can help you to find out if you are eligible and will organise your training and agree with you an individual learning plan.
