Grow Somerset Talent is a joint organisation of Colleges and Training providers in Somerset awarding apprentices, trainees and employers.
In one small corner of Devon, a local company Silvalea and training provider Acacia training and development are doing their best to dispel such notions of doom and gloom by celebrating the success of their joint working partnership with modern apprenticeships.
Natasha, 19, is doing her Marketing Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship with Acacia Training and Development at Mind Sports International in Plymouth, and she loves every minute of it.
Rachael, 32, was so surprised and happy to receive the Acacia Training and Development award for ‘Learner of the month” in November 2016. She worked for years at the reception at Access Health Care at Mount Gould in Plymouth and wanted to progress in her role.
By making the style of learning appropriate for Gary, he has become an enthusiastic, confident and competent learner. With dedication and hard work, Gary achieved his Level 3.
Brooke Pinkney started to work at Broadley Speaking in Tavistock in August 2013. She is now working towards her Advanced Apprenticeship in Marketing after completing her Level 2 Marketing apprenticeship last year with Acacia Training and Development.
Claire Hall has worked within Early Years Education for over 15 years and she still enjoys learning more about child development. She has built strong links with the Hooe Primary Academy as her nursery is situated just next to the school.
