Overview:

This is an AAT Accounting qualification. Learners who choose this course are taught in a class at one of our training centres on day release. Attendance of classes is required. The subject material covers: Financial accounts covering double entry book-keeping entries for:

– Preparation of final accounts for various business types

– Final accounts from incomplete records Cost accounts covering:

  • Materials
  • Labour
  • Overheads
  • Decision making
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts and monitoring of cash balances
  • Preparation of VAT returns including imports, exports and special schemes
  • Professional Ethics
  • Computerised spreadsheets.

Outcomes:

The QCF Certificate will provide underpinning knowledge for this qualification and is preferred. Learners can also be accepted if they can demonstrate their working knowledge of the subject by completing the AAT Skill Scan on an application. You also need to be reasonably numerate and be able to complete exams and written projects in English.

The enrolment for this course starts Thursday, September 8th 5.30 to 8.30 pm at the Acacia Training and Development Centre 10 Sawrey Street, Plymouth, PL1 3LA. Also available as an Evening Class.
